Daylight saving time

Have I said how much I HATE this earlier daylight savings time?? Well I do! Even at the "normal" time change, here in MI the kds go to school in the dark and it is light when they go to bed. Talk about having trouble getting the kids to bed when the weather gets warm! It is 7:35 and still pitch black here. I hate it! Not to mention the kids were up at their normal times, so I am still tired and cranky. I need coffee!

Starfish Foster home

I still read a lot of adoption blogs. I didn't know what to expect when we went to China, so I got hooked on reading others travel blogs to try and get prepared. Then I kept reading some of the blogs after they got home to get more prepared for that transition. One of the first blogs I happened upon was of a woman from South America who runs a foster home in China. http://www.chinesestarfish.blogspot.com/ Well it turns out she is in Xi'an. I didn't know this until way after we decided to adopt Zachary. She does a wonderful job with these children. Most of her kids have been special needs and adopted by families in the US. She has been able to get updates on them, etc. Today my heart just breaks for her. The child who has been with her the longes (2.5 years) we adopted by a family from Spain. This has to be hard on the little girl, but all adoptions are. But I am feeling for Amanda the most.

New blog

So I think I figured out why I haven't been able to start blogging. I have been trying to do it more in like a website (like Zachary's babyjellybeans). It has to be more like I am just thinking out loud. So I started my own blog in addition to our family blog here goes. I am sure it will be alot about adoption at first. I am still learning ALOT. But hopefully it will evolve from there.
